Overview FranU Assistant Theology Professor at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System. The University seeks a full-time (10-month) faculty member in Theology at the assistant or associate level to start in August 2026. Applicants in dogmatic, systematic, historical, and biblical theology are strongly encouraged to apply, though other disciplines will be considered. The successful candidate should embrace our mission and the vision of Catholic education described in Ex Corde Ecclesiae. Theologians are expected to teach undergraduate courses (standard courseload is 4/4, though endowed arrangements and other duties can reduce this), engage in service to the university and community, and pursue excellence in scholarship. The Theology program is administered within the Department of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences in the School of Arts & Sciences and supports the general education core. It offers a B.A. in Theology and, if needed, the candidate should be willing to assist in creating an M.A. program and teach graduate courses. The role also involves intellectual formation for propaedeutic seminarians, deacon candidates, religious sisters, and lay leaders in the diocese within the context of regularly scheduled courses.
